Sourced from a small farmer in southern France, I use high-quality cane to make my bassoon reeds.
I only use manual precision gouging and profiling machines. Each piece is carefully picked, shaped, and tested for top performance.
With 20 years of experience playing in both symphony and opera orchestras in different roles, I know how important it is to have reliable reeds and stable material. Working in various positions has taught me the significance of having consistent reeds for a variety of tasks. The standard measures for processed cane are:
